Take Off

This blue tit is on its way to the feeder just outside the back door. It flitted in through the laurels and landed on this branch for an instant and then flew on to the feeder. I just caught it opening its wings.

I sat and watched the feeders with the camera through the morning, got several shots of blue tits and a few good ones of a blackbird. Nothing more exciting than that. After lunch, I did a bit more clearing from the old shed and a bit of cutting back, then made a start on the Sunday roast while Mrs Mikey shut herself away to do some marking and planning.

The weather was pretty good - stayed pleasant until about five o'clock, when the rain came in. Good forecast tomorrow, so I might go down to the estuary, depending on the times of the tide.
