Leith Walk without Trams

It didn't matter how many crocodile tears were shed by His Lordship this morning on learning that my social calendar for the day would not include him, I was confident that he was going to enjoy a relaxing morning on his own.

I was off into town for a mini blipmeet with Tiggy, and very enjoyable it was, with the time passing all too quickly and only one blip taken. That must be some sort of record.

A quick turnaround and it's off to visit my friend o m ts newly returned from the Greek Islands, no doubt sporting a tan with an afternoon of tales to tell.

This view is of Leith Walk from on high, sporting none of the infamous tram rails which were once intended, but instead two giraffes. There is possibly some cynical comment to be made at this point, but I'll desist.

The fat metal pigeons which stood on the pavement at the corner of the road off to the right have long since flown away, whether on their own or with a little help from the less desirable citizens of the city is hard to tell.
Or they may have been removed by the council when the whole of Leith Walk was torn apart for 2 years to prepare the ground for tram rails to carry the subsequently cancelled trams to the Port of Leith. Now that might also invite a cynical comment, but again, I'll desist.

We miss these pigeons, they were fun sculptures. Please bring them back!
