Leaves

These are the LEAVES of the Kangaroo Paw. Hidden in these lEAVES is a Wattle bird ("of course" I hear you say! can't blip Leaves without a flower attached and where there is flowers there is a bird) at least there is in Molly's journal.
These LEAVES are quite thick, rough and dense, the Flower though is unscented and can grow from 1-5 metres tall.
Honeyeaters and Wattle birds are pollinators of this leafy plant, the sticky pollen sticks to the birds head.
The Kangaroo Paw is native to W.A (its our floral Emblem)
Its also evolved to avoid Bees, generally bird pollinated flowers are often red, Bees can't see red, and this flower produces a diluted nectar the Bees need strong nectar.
An easier topic today, thank goodness, that was a very challenging topic yesterday to blip steam. :-)
