October Challenge - Comforting

Day 16 of DDW's October daily challenge - Comforting

I had a blip in mind for today, but owing to a superb sunrise it has been postponed, and will probably appear in the blipfolio before the end of the week.

The day started with a gorgeous sunrise (as can be testified by LPHGail). I set out to go to Nichol End marina, but diverted en route to go up Latrigg, one of the hills overlooking Keswick. This hill has a great advantage - it has a car park at the rear which removes most of the climb - and the route from the car park to the front of the hill is designated as a limited mobility path, so apart from a bit of a hike it's quite easy walking. I spent most of my time though, and took most pictures adjacent to the car park as it looks east - where the sun rises.

The proverb "red sky at night, shepherds delight, red in the morning, shepherds warning" was well proven for later in the day the forecast downpour happened!

To fit the theme - it's comforting to know that old proverbs (this one was recorded 2,000 years ago) can still be relied on, some things don't change!
