Panels

10.9C dull with showers in the afternoon. Rain forecast. Breezy.

Maeve the Deerhound and I walked down to the shore after lunch. I wanted to see if the tractor that was stuck in the waves at high tide yesterday had been retrieved. As we passed through the little field to the level crossing we noticed that there were some sheep in the field. The pedestrian gate to the level crossing has some string to hold it closed. It hope it holds and no sheep get on the main line.

The tide was high again and today lots of breakers crashing on the beach. We walked along the edge of the field at the back of the dunes. Approaching the Fishermen's huts I could see the red tractor was up off the sand as was 'Valhalla VI'. Some panels off the tractor's engine were lying against the end hut. As we got closer I could see the owner working on the tractor's engine. Fingers crossed he can keep it working.

Packing cases and bags tonight.
Tomorrow we are off to the West :-)
There will be rain, and showers. I don't care really as long as there is some sunshine in between. This week has been unendingly grey.
