Great day today. Saw dolphins underwater for the first time. Not for very long but they defiantly came over to check us out.

Once we got back on board and had lunch we went out on the squidgy's to look for dolphins and whales. Didn't see any whales but we did have a good play with the dolphins.

There was a large pod swimming with us at the front of the boat and a few times they were jumping out of the water. Missed the best couple of photo opportunities as I was looking through the viewfinder in the wrong direction but hopefully managed a few good shots.

Fed giant Jaw fish on the third dive, which was quite good.

Dive 28
Isla Carmen Punta Lobos
Start time 7.35
Max depth 25.3m
Dive time 67 min
Temp 29

Morning and not quite awake. Managed to bang my head on the ladder rolling off the boat.
Down to see the sea lions but the bulls were not letting them out to play this morning.
Carried on over some boulders and went a bit deeper and found a big shoal of juvenile barracuda. Thousands of them. Great sight. Bob found a nice jewel moray that was interested in a starfish that was nearby.
Back to the boulders and John found a sea urchin with a mobile phone stuck to it. Hopefully a good photo.
Carried on in the boulders and Alison found a nice little octopus. Stayed for a while to play with it and managed to entice it out of its hole with a few shells and waving a finger around.
Great dive to start the day with.

Dive 29
Isla Carmen Sea Mounts
Start time 11.28
Max depth 20.7m
Dive time 66 min
Temp 29

Dive on a couple of pinnacles. While we were waiting to get on the squidgy we saw a pod of dolphins heading to the dive site.
Went to the bottom and we could hear the dolphins. J swam out on the sandy bottom away from the rocks and saw 3 dolphins. We then swam out further on the sand and after a while three dolphins came back to have a look at us. A minute or so later another one dolphin swam by and had a good look at us.
Great sight to see as this is the first time for us. Only problem was I had a macro lens on the camera.
Went back to the rock and started to look for some smaller stuff.
Didn't manage to find much else on the dive but a very large puffer fish under an overhang.
Best dive of the holiday so far

Dive 30
Isla Coronado - Punta Lobos
Start time 15.50
Max depth 25.0m
Dive time 63 min
Temp 29

Went in with J&A as J's ear was hurting and she wants to do the night dive.
Went in and saw a large shoal of barracuda was we went in.
Went out onto the sand to find the giant jaw fish. The dive guide took some food down to feed them with and entice them out of the hole.
Once we left them I found a small beer bottle that I was planning on sending to the surface. As I turned it over a little octopus came out. Swam over to show it to J&A while the octopus clung to the bottle for dear life.
Came up the rocks and found a jewel moray and a nudi. Rest of the dive was boring rocks.

Dive 31
Isla Coronado - Punta Lobos
Start time 18.39
Max depth 15.5m
Dive time 53 min
Temp 29

Last night dive of the trip. Down to go around the point that we should have done on the last dive.
Saw more sea cucumbers out eating. A few large sea hairs, couple of jewel morays one of them free swimming going very fast.
Some nice yellow soft coral and lots of parrot fish trying to go to sleep. Forgot about having to do a free ascent in the dark and trying to hold a stop at 6m for 3 minutes just using a torch to see your computer. This then attracts the krill to the light and gets into your face.
