Foxy

Today one of the foxes was around at the same time as the squirrel. That was unexpected, though they must live close to each other.

I made two cakes today (TWO!) - an apple scone round and a chocolate banana loaf. Both were very easy to make and are tasty.

A FEASTie friend, Theresa, came over in the afternoon to look through the wedding photos, chat and meet Mr Kipling. She also managed to pet Whisky's head before he realised Theresa was a stranger, got scared and made a quick exit to hide under the bed. Scaredy cat.

In the evening, we went to Folk of the Wood, a new monthly folk night in the Portico Gallery at the bottom of my road. How good is that? The Ceilidh Tree had us all up dancing, which was hilarious (i.e. absolute chaos). At the Strip the Willow, they asked if anyone knew what they were doing and Fred put up his hand. He promptly forgot how to do it. Whoops.

Blues guitarist Simon Prager was fabulous, too.

It was a really fun night and a ceilidh is a good chance for strangers to have a laugh with each other. I'm looking forward to the next one on 15 November.
