Polish War Memorial

This is the Polish war memorial half a mile from my home. It's quite moving actually.

I live at Newtoft which used to be known as RAF Faldingworth and from 1944 until 1950 it was the base for the PAF (Polish Air Force) which also flew missions in British Planes such as the Lancaster. this memorial remebers those who died on missions. Tragically many of the names on the plaques are from airmen killed not in battle, but in various crashes around the area as planes came in the land.
