Have you ever wondered...

just exactly what is INSIDE your camera? Pictured above is a camera shutter on the left from a Canon 50D, and a zoom lens ribbon cable from a Canon 17-85mm zoom lens.

Both parts had failed since a purchase from an eBay auction. Fortunately, I opted for the optional "extended warranty!" at $150.

The camera is now essentially a "brand new" camera after a complete overhaul! Repairs were almost equal to the original cost of this pre-owned camera. I can't say enough about the value of extended warranties! In this case, just a bit over $600 in repairs... all covered by the extended warranty!

I now have a rebuilt camera that should be good for about 125K worth of images which at a nominal 10 images per day, could potentially result in MANY years blip images IF this was my only camera body, which it is not :)
