Emigrating

My Uncle Bobby, Mam's twin brother, emigrated to Australia in 1971. Here we are saying goodbye before they go.

I'm the little ball of fluff nearest the fire, sitting on Mam's lap with my big sister. My brother is also on the floor to our left. On the settee is my Auntie Mary, with her two daughters. The oldest of the two, Shona, is just a little over 9 months older than me, and her cuteness as a newborn is the reason Mam decided to change her mind about the number of kids she wanted, and ... here I am.
