Danger!!!

This time of year is beautiful, wonderful autumn colours, beautiful sunsets and misty mornings.

This time of year can also be a potentially dangerous time, it's been perfect conditions fro toadstools and mushrooms to grow, many of them quite spectacular in appearance but they can also be deadly.

I tell the story every year about MiMi who has appeared on many of Roos blips, a tiny chihuahua with a tiny heart of gold, MiMi is also a therapy dog.

Whilst out walking some years ago she ate the smallest of mushrooms, within minutes she became very tired and started to vomit and have violent stomach issues, her body temperature drop drastically and within a few hours blood was coming out of her like a tap had been left on, she was rushed to an emergency vet as she went into a coma, she was taken to a private vet college who put her in ITU, with tubes coming out of every part of her tiny body, MiMi belongs to a friend of mine but she was so upset that I took her on a drip in the back of my car to the unit, I thought I'd never see this little dog again.....

Thankfully she has made a full recovery and fires on all cylinders now, but please all animal lovers beware all these fungi can be hazardous .

Don't worry folks Roo was fine I didn't let him get any closer..
