Party

I'm late posting this blip as we didn't get home until after midnight. This iphone snap is of our table at the opening black tie party for the "Masterpieces of Chinese Painting" at the Victoria & Albert Museum. This space is the entrance hall that normally contains the ticket and information desks - last night transformed into a Chinese pleasure garden with candles and lanterns and pumpkins. The exhibition contains paintings on silk as early as 590AD. My favourites were the 17th century scrolls showing daily lives in the towns in exquisite detail. The V&A trailer is a lovely animation of some of the scrolls.
