Employability

One of my students won a major award this evening. Earlier, I set a large group of first-year students a task akin to 'The Apprentice' tv programme. We've changed things - there's an academic qualification to be had, but we're about so much more than that. One of the buzzwords is 'employability', but it's about even more than that. We don't teach subjects, or topics, we teach individuals, characters, personalities. We've got quite a group this year, and we'll be pushing things and keeping going to keep up standards. We have ex-students in great jobs. Companies expect it of us, especially if they're to attract the top talent. Loving doing this.
