Red Leaves (Leaf Blip II)

I spied these these leaves across the condominium parking lot beside our house, from our kitchen window. It was a cloudy late afternoon, but I went out to get some shots--this is the best.

The color may seem very vivid, but I don't think it's far off. (Direct sunlight is great for fall color--see yesterday, but clouds can be fine too.)

I've just watched the first inning of the Red Sox versus the Cardinals in the first game of the World Series--really weird, with the six umpires overruling a call by one of them on the field--unprecedented. (Full disclosure: I grew up in Boston, and once saw Ted Williams hit a home run for the Red Sox at Fenway Park, where they are playing tonight :)
