Progress

We had a late night and a little too much wine!!!

A leisurely breakfast was enjoyed outside on the terrace before the four of us headed up to Twizel for the reunion weekend. As our friends from Wellington haven't seen the new bridge constructions over the Waitaki Rivers at Hakataramea (North side) and Kurow (South side) we decided to travel that way.

Here are the blokes, both retired engineers, Doug a roading engineer and Murray a bridging engineer. In the picture on the right is the old bridge build back around 1882 first build as a rail bridge but later converted to vehicle traffic. (I've blipped it a few times). On the left is the temporary constructed bridge used as a platform for sinking hollow core piles for the new bridge.

Wer'e now in Twizel having quiet time before we head out for dinner with some of our old buddies.

I'm using my mobile tethered to the iPad, seems to be working.

Rainie.
