Not the day we planned

Today was Daisy's birthday outing. Plan was to collect two friends and go to Drusillas, handily using up my vouchers which run out next week. But then they closed one of the two roads to get to drusillas, the other road was gridlocked, we took nearly an hour to drive one mile and the day was not looking good.

So we turned round, whizzed back home on the other clear side of the road and went to the newly opened pottery cafe that has just opened round the corner. And it was fabulous! I didn't think Will would be at all bothered but he absolutely loved it. A skull, owl, lizard and Christmas bauble have all been lovingly painted. Then the girls went into town to touch things in Poundland and I have had a nice lie down on the settee. All turned out very good in the end.
