A bit chocka!

The traffic in our little village does sometimes resemble Piccadilly Circus!

A young woman, who looks quite demure,
Knocks our door and, with certain allure,
Explains (looking harmless)
She's from the Young Farmers
And selling their horses' manure.

Given the severe weather warnings (and the winds are building up as I write) perhaps I should have bought some sacks of manure to use as sandbags ...!

Did you remember to put your clocks back? Here's a second limerick I've penned today. Readers of a sensitive disposition, please stop reading at line 4 ...

The clocks have gone back where they started:
Greenwich meantime. Blue skies have departed.
Now seems darkness holds sway
And, with winds underway,
On our sweet summer smells winter's farted.

(I actually like Greenwich meantime; wish we kept it all year round.)
