River Roy

It has been a very wet and blustery day.

There was little attraction in venturing far for Caley's walk. To get our soaking we just went over the back garden fence and up Maol Ruadh. If you can see the hills on the other side of the glen it is going to rain. If you can't see the hills it is already raining.

It is difficult to take a photo (with any enthusiasm) to bring this dull fact to life. I tried but water quickly accumulated on the lens. Despite this Mrs Cakes got a cracking iphone picture, in very poor light, of action dog Caley.

We needed a couple of things from the village shop early evening and after that errand I continued to a leafy shaded section of the River Roy. I have a new cheap version ND filter to afford longer shutter speeds; its called 5pm after the clocks have changed. It is worth about eight stops.
