Great bunnets

In the train going home this chap's bunnet caught my eye - a symbol of the inclement weather. In Scotland, a bunnet is defined as a flat cap traditionally made from wool, often worn by farmers and working men. Strictly speaking, this isn't a bunnet, but a beanie or a knitted cap.

The hand-crafted pottery ornament of a cricketer, that I bought years ago in Tobermory, has a wonderful floppy cap with a small crescent shaped brim. I took the cricketer picture this morning by balancing it on a patio railing. It was really an emergency blip when the sun came out briefly. However, it must have primed my brain, because the two together seemed an apposite combination and statement about men's diverse headgear!
