Memorial

Ann took Dylan to Tracey the groomer this morning and I met her out for coffee. As Dills wouldn’t be ready for collection until one we took a walk along the river and into the grounds of Holy Trinity Church.

I noticed this memorial on the right as we went into the graveyard. It seemed isolated and neglected with overgrowth of mould and ivy. I took the photo, along with others and came home, leaving Ann to go back into town to collect Dylan.

After processing the photos I decided to investigate the incident that led to her premature death. I came up with something on the P&O Liner SS Persia and only this
War Memorial entry for Kathleen Stoehr. It’s surprising what you can learn from old cemeteries sometimes.
