Pink-footed Goose roost at Aberlady Bay

An explore of Aberlady Bay today - Greylag, Barnacle, Brent and Pink-footed Geese, but no sign of the reported Snow Goose. Little Egret, Golden Plover, Sanderling, Dunlin, Redshank, Curlew & Oystercatcher all made for a good day list.

We watched the Pink-feet fly in to their roost - quite a co-ordinated effort, by far the majority of birds landing within the space of a couple of minutes. Today's photo is a distant shot of the roost at dusk. Check out RCB for seven Barnacle Geese in flight taken earlier in the day.
