Is this one zingy enough?

Thomas and I got up early to get a train to London as we were going to a brass specialist shop to choose his new trumpet. It is a tiny shop in the Marleybone area that is stuffed full of all sorts of brass instruments, and the staff there really know what they are talking about. I took Luke there about five years ago when he got his first 'professional' trumpet and it now it was Thomas' turn. As they become better players and their sound matures it becomes necessary to upgrade their instrument, and this one should be suitable for many, many years. We delayed this purchase for nearly a year in Thomas' case and then it got to the point where he needed to move on to a better instrument.

Did I mention the shop is really tiny? There was another lad in there also trying out trumpets - is this one zingy enough, does this sound bright enough, is this sound too dark....After an hour and a half of hearing trumpets being played very close to my ear, I had a headache and was desperate for a coffee. I did try to stand back but there was no where to stand and by now I was almost edged out of the front door. After trying out various makes and models, and a long phone call to his trumpet teacher, Thomas finally settled on the one he wanted. The service in the shop was superb and after a massive discount and paying much less than I was expecting to pay, we finally went and had that well deserved coffee with Thomas smiling all the way back home.
