Valle del bove

The last day of the holiday, we climbed Etna. It was sunny when we started, blowing a glad and hailing when we got to the summit, so we didn't see much, and we were freezing.

This is a view of the Valle del bove, which is where many lava flows from the past 30 years or so have ended up. It used to be very good grazing, hence its name. Not much grass down there now.

As I'm back blipping this, I'm writing after Etna's latest eruption. It was just 2 weeks after we were there!!
