Steep slope my foot

Notice on the Tamsin Trail in Richmond Park, snapped while out for a run. I have never noticed this sign before, although it's on the Richmond Park parkrun course.

Calling this a steep slope is a massive exaggeration. It's hardly the north face of the Eiger. I've never seen a cyclist comply with the suggestion either!
