Bat Out of Hell

Lovely day spent with friends (including a fellow blipper!) and their gorgeous little boy at Belsay Hall. There's a Victorian Spook Week happening there, so Grace and Ophelia were more than happy! This is a typically manic Grace expression as she shows off an origami bat that she made. The day wasn't without its mishaps: Arwen fell flat on her face in the great hall and ended up with a bloody nose, whilst Grace got her foot stuck between two floorboards at the top of the castle and got a nasty set of scratches on her knee. She was highly impressed with the first aid dressing that the English Heritage staff put on. She said it was very posh.
The evening has been spent carving pumpkins and preparing for a little Halloween party at the house tomorrow.
