Third try

It was my third attempt to convince this motel dweller to let me photograph him. Today he was badly hung over, and still reluctant, but I prevailed based on his previous promises. We got his sister on the phone who strongly encouraged him. He was drinking cheap whiskey and Pepsi; when he finally consented he put on a clean black shirt, and carefully brushed both his hair and his beard. He wanted to look his best.
