tempus fugit

Reprise

When my sons were young I used to get those tubes of ready-made dough for making your own fresh croissants. The pastry sheet is already serrated into triangles that you roll up and place on a baking tray, but the fun was to add fillings, usually jam or chocolate, that would usually ooze out as the croissants cooked. The hot, gooey result was a Sunday morning treat.

The product disappeared from the shelves long ago in this neck of the woods but I saw it again in London and brought a tube home and we did it again. They tasted just as good.
