Koala not a bird!

Today we went birding on the Gate 6 Track at Belair National Park. I was hoping to get a bird, being late afternoon when the birds are usually very active. But it was not to be.

As we were leaving the park we walked a short distance on the "Koala track" and I did see a single of koala that was not too high up to make an interesting photo. I did however spot a bird eating a lizard, but it was so far away, in the shade - the photos were all crap. Will try again tomorrow.

The Belair park is extremely important and protects one of the few remaining areas of native vegetation in the Adelaide Hills. That is why is is usually buzzing with birds, but not this time.

Clearer koala.
