An international statement

Airport architecture can often be quite interesting, there are some airfields that make the best of what they have, even if that is just a massive shed next to the runway, Blackpool springs to mind, or Inverness maybe. But when you get to the big modern international hubs there is the sense of the airport being a statement of the country it's in. Showing how modern and swish a country is and presenting a statement of that modernness as you transit their lounges.

Coming home today via one such international hub at Charles De Gaulle I found this big viewing window at the end of the departure lounge at terminal 2E. It looks out onto one of the aprons and has some nice lounging chairs on a couple of levels to chill out and watch the planes comes and go.
