Sparkling

Everyone laughed when they looked through my many many attempts at photographing the fireworks - just lots of black rectangles, some with a hint of a spectacular explosion just out of shot. Not a patch on last year.

We did have lots of fun with sparklers though, making hearts, spelling our names, and sometimes making one big sparkly mess, like this one. Josh took over on camera duties and did a sterling job.

Richard and Hazel joined us for curry, fireworks and board games afterwards, all washed down with some rather nice champagne.
