Remember, Remember

Well we didn’t have any fireworks, and we didn’t go to a display, so I guess that’s another year we haven’t celebrated burning someone at the stake.

My friend John came over from Lickey and we went out for lunch at Jimmy Spices, an Indian, Chinese, Thai, Italian eat-as-much-as-you-can buffet restaurant. We had limited ourselves to only re-stocking three times, but John succumbed and tucked into pudding too, his fourth dish.

After lunch we had a wander around the shops before heading for the RSC for coffee. They have moved the comfy chairs and sofas from outside the third floor restaurant so we retreated to the comfortable snugness of The Swan Theatre Bar where they have retained the leather sofas. The whole place has the atmosphere of a Gentleman’s Club, though I’m sure ladies would be welcome too!
