Standard Fisheye Photograph?

Did someone say SkoolDayz?? So, one of the more eagerly anticipated events of the Warwick social calendar is this particular event, and what you are seeing here is just before we all headed out. You can probably spot a few familiar faces, as this is my kitchen and Big Band. The Big Band tradition is to have drinks somewhere on campus and then head to the event, the problem was that the only person who lives on campus this year with a moderately sized kitchen is me, and we already had quite a few people already in there! Doesn’t matter though, once everyone met everyone got on very well, as you can see from the picture. The evening began in style with some drinking Jenga (pretty much Jenga, but with instructions written on each of the blocks!), and then continued in the same manner, with everyone staying until the 4am close. The reasons behind that are probably explained best in the blurb written on the Student’s Union website:-

Do you remember when football "came home"? How about Girl Power? Trainspotting? Pokemon? Britpop? Pop-punk?

Have you ever considered "movin' with your Aunty and Uncle in Bel-Air"? Can you do the dance to Whigfield's Saturday Night? Is your boot-scootin' baby driving you "kerrazy"? I think you know where this is going...

At Skool Dayz, we demand you crowbar your way back into that old school uniform to relive the best (and worst!) tunes from your misspent youth. In Room 1, those timeless classics from the 90s and early 00s are given full reign for a round of gleeful nostalgia. For those of you who consider yourselves "too cool for school", simply zip upstairs to Room 2 where you'll have the chance to get down to some old-skool hip-hop, funk and breakbeats behind the bike sheds.

Altogether now! "SLIP INSIIIIIDE, THE EYE OF YOUR MIIIIIIND..."
Skool Dayz loves...
Alanis Morissette, Avril Lavigne, Blink-182, Blur, Bowling for Soup, Busted, B*Witched, Coldplay, Culture Beat, Darude, Disney, DJ Sammy, Faithless, Fatboy Slim, Fountains of Wayne, Gala, Good Charlotte, Haddaway, Lightning Seeds, Limp Bizkit, New Radicals, Oasis, Offspring, Outhere Brothers, Prodigy, Reel II Real, Robbie Williams, Scatman, Spice Girls, Strike, Sum-41, Will Smith and many, many more...

I don’t particularly remember what happened the rest of the day. I think I worked, and Thom was an absolute angel and looked after me so I could concentrate on what I was doing. One day I will definitely have to pay him back when he has a similar level of work!
