First frosts

This morning the trees along the north bank of the Tay were etched with white from a hoar frost. These trees receive no direct sunlight at all now because of the hill behind and low angle of the sun. Autumn is turning rapidly into winter. There was not a breath of wind before nine and the fast-flowing river has quite a different steely look compared to yesterday.
