Parhelion

Otherwise known as a 'Sun-Dog'.

Nothing 'arty' for you today, just a simple record shot of a meteorological optical feature known as a 'sun dog' (or 'parhelion').

They are seen 22 degrees to the left or right of the true sun (often both sides at the same time) and are usually most obvious when the sun is low. This was shortly after sunrise this morning as seen across the Forth looking towards North Berwick Law (the hill at the bottom) from Kirkcaldy.
