At long last the autumn colours are beginning to show in the trees. The picture shows the River Tavy. The footpath runs behind the trees lining the bank you can see in the middle distance and then follows the loop of the river. A beautiful spot at any time, but especially so in Autumn.

After taking this picture I walked downstream a bit and set up my hide. Got some fair shots of egrets and some shots of little grebes which frustratingly kept to the far side of the river - just too far to get a detailed shot. There were some curlew on the far side, but they were out on the mudflats and again, too far away for a good shot. Apart from this, there wasn't much about - still waiting for the winter visitors.
