Pirate Ship

Today I took the grand kids to West Edmonton Mall. (See more about the Mall below.) There are lots of attractions for kids, and the pirate ship was the highlight. For a coin, you can steer the ship's wheel. It operates some small boats alongside the big pirate ship, remotely. And, if you look carefully in the background you can see a very tempting sign - Cinnzeo. They bake the best pecan, caramel cinnamon rolls! But, I restrained...

Here's what Wiki says - West Edmonton Mall (WEM), located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, is the largest shopping mall in North America and the tenth largest in the world (along with The Dubai Mall) by gross leasable area. The mall was founded by the Ghermezian brothers, who immigrated from Iran in 1959. It was the world's largest mall until 2004.
There is parking for more than 20,000 vehicles.

West Edmonton Mall:
The story of West Edmonton Mall (WEM) is the story of how a handful of visionaries took an ordinary idea like a shopping centre and turned it into a world-class destination. The Mall's stores, attractions, and services combine to form the most comprehensive retail, hospitality and entertainment complex on Earth. As the prototype for mixed-use entertainment facilities, WEM is a place where people come to shop, play and stay.
WEM's concept is inspired by the traditional urban bazaars of Persia, where shopping and entertainment were plentiful and operated in tandem, fulfilling a variety of consumer needs all in one place.
At 5.3 million square feet, the Mall is the size of a small city and is accredited as a zoo. WEM is home to more than 800 stores and services including 10 world-class attractions, two hotels, over 100 dining venues, the widest variety of one-of-a-kind retailers, and entertainment for all ages. Average yearly visitation is approximately 30.8 million, making WEM the province's number one tourist attraction.
