Loco - 'Dominion of Canada'

Loco ‘Dominion of Canada’ is number six and the last in my series of the surviving six A4 locos designed by Sir Nigel Gresley currently taking part in ‘The Great Gathering’ at the National Rail Museum in York. ‘The Great Gathering’ has assembled to celebrate the 75th anniversary of A4 loco ‘Mallard’ setting the world steam speed record in 1938, a record which has never been broken.
The ‘Dominion of Canada’ is owned and based at Exporail, the Canadian Railway Museum, Montreal, on static display in LNER blue livery. It was originally built for the Coronation streamliner service and will return to Canada in late sring/early summer 2014.
