Our 'Desert Rat'

During WW11 my great-uncle Murdo Campbell Adamson, known in the family as Roy, was a soldier with the Gordon Highlanders, service number 2888450. This photograph was taken while he was on leave in Cairo just a few weeks before he was killed in action in North Africa on 28.03.1943. He is commemorated on the Mediez-el-bab Memorial, Face 30, situated 60 miles west of Tunis.
We must not forget. Many cannot forget.
