Red Acer

So, finally, I got to include this red Acer that I've been watching for a few weeks now. I ended up with quite a few different takes on this but I think this shows off the colour and shape of the leaves best.

When I took these pictures it was a pleasant sunny morning before I headed off to work. Come lunch time it was raining heavily but I went out walking anyway smug in the knowledge that POTD was in the bag for the day. Whilst walking I came upon a subject that would have made the cut were it not for my determination to stick to my guns with the Acer. Of course the nature of daily challenge is that no-one will ever see those photos. But it will make me chuckle every time I think about it.
