Cool Clouds

Today I took only 3 pictures. We went to a party after work for the Science Olympiad team. I gave the camera a rest. I wild storm blew through town and kicked the winds up to 50 mph. We lost a tree in our back yard (woods). There were breakers on Wasilla Lake.

After the dark clouds blew by, these were left behind. Any meteorologists out there? I believe this kind of formation is due to mountain wave effect. Regardless, I've never seen clouds quite like this before so I thought they were blip worthy. They remind me of ripples in a pond.

K is spending the night with friends after the party so it's home date night for the wife and myself. Blip done.
