Illumi-neigh-ted

When I started photographing these down here I was in shorts and trying to find some shade to shelter from. That's the darkest and dampest that it's been on my #kelpiemonday visits. Not that you can tell from this, with the warm glow of the refinery and port over at Grangemouth and the lights of the traffic on the M9 motorway helping illuminate the big giant heids. Tried lighting them up with some multi-led lights but they're just too far off, and it gave them an odd colour cast anyhow.

The new canal extension was filled today, so there's now water running between the two sculptures. They're going to be some sight approaching these along the new waterway.

Lots of progress around the rest of the Helix Park area too, and these things are well on their way to becoming the most photographed subjects in Scotland; just have a look at how many times they're beginning to appear on here.

In other news, my internet connection is now officially shit, peaking at somewhere between 56K dial up and blistering ISDN (this being the reason I'm short on comments just now as it's too painful waiting... on... pa... ges... ...to... .... ... load).
