He's Back!

Apparently our flicker nesting box is still under consideration, since today there was a roof inspection and very energetic tossing of superfluous wood shavings from the interior.

Mr. Flicker worked longer today on his project, not bothered by a curious squirrel and a couple of towhees who watched with interest. There was plenty of evidence to mark his focused labor, and he clearly earned his break time in a nearby tree!
