A Day Worth Recording

Teleprocessor

"Unquestionably the most versatile communication unit ever devised."

The brochure says so.

Dating from the mid 80's this was moderately revolutionary - essentially a portable wordprocessor-cum-printer. The specs make entertaining reading. The 14k memory was considered enough for up to nine document files.

My, how we've bloated since.

This is another item now on eBay (at 99p, and it already has watchers!)

My father had a phrase, I don't know if it had any other origin*, "After the Lord Mayor's Show, cometh the man with the bucket and spade." . Sorry I can't keep up yesterday's standard - especially in the drizerable weather we've had all day!

*A quick Google seems to find many instances of "After the Lord Mayor's show...", but none with the "cometh..."
