"I'm Still Watching"...

...Yes, time for a jolly well-earned spell really, been on the riverbank all day watching, watching and waiting..now that's hard work you know..

...And suddenly, at the drop of a hat, these resting pelicans and a few seagulls were up and racing toward a couple of young ladies who thought they'd come down to have a snack on the riverbank -(must have had chips)..

...And in no time there were screams and both young ladies took off like rockets themselves for their car - leaving the pelicans and stunned seagulls sitting there all alone watching them run away in fright..

... The girls had made themselves comfortable on a rug wit their boxes of food and and icecream each and were suddenly looking UP at the pelicans and it must have been rather frightening for a moment....We told them they were ok, and the local ladies in the car next to them (still screaming and laughing) thought it was quite funny ..

...We're used to them, gosh, they can surely run fast - with wings out and no doubt looking a little intimidating to some..but they wonder what all the fuss is about..

...I wonder if the girls will return...
