All in a Row

9.3C bright with blue sky and a light breeze.

I made a large pot of vegetable soup this morning. Courgettes and potato from the garden were included. Thats the first soup of the Autumn made. Some for dinner tonight, some in the fridge for my lunch tomorrow, and three lots in the freezer.

After lunch Maeve the Deerhound and I walked down the road to the shore road then along to the road bridge over the railway line and down to Westhaven. 'Valhalla VI' was sitting on the sand in the channel through the rocks again. Low tide. We wandered along past the cottages to the Fishermen's huts. At one end of the area in front of the huts this line of boats, and including one of the blue tractors , is all wrapped up for the winter.

I dug up another two small rows of potatoes this afternoon. Two more to go. The crop looks good. Large potatoes. The variety is Organic Ambo. The skins are white and pink, the flesh white. We like them :-)
