Memories...

....but not of India! This building in Bosham is where we held our wedding reception in 1981. At the time it was called "The Wishing Well" and was a lovely friendly place where we had often gone to have meals. Neither of us had a lot of family to invite, mainly friends, so a small venue sorted us perfectly. It's strange, even now, to see it being an Indian restaurant. The conservatory is the same one that was there all those years ago! The fish and chip shop that we go to when we are visiting my Dad is just round the corner from this, so I decided to walk round and take this photo. I love to see this place still as it obviously has happy memories for us both. :-)

We had a good day with Dad and went for quite a long walk this afternoon. He strode out in his usual fashion - would never believe he was 88! Dad showed me a letter that was written to his doctor by a specialist (that we visited the other week) which said that, although Dad has had a number of health problems over the years, he is "as strong as an ox"! Good genes I guess - his mother used to walk miles when she was his age. I don't think I have ever had the energy levels that those two had/have, so the genes must have gone wrong in me! ;-)
