Pictorial blethers

After sunset

The sun had already slipped into the cloud over Bute by the time we were walking up the lower slopes of Toward Hill today, but as we descended we became aware that the light was far brighter than it had been an hour earlier - our faces were shining in a faintly Biblical fashion. This is the very last of the afterglow, seen through the black trees at the foot of the hill, and for once the colour in the photo resembles the colour I saw as I took it.
