'A Patch of Sunshine'

Ahhh, another busy work week done.

Spent probably around half of the day trying to get an interpretation of the new bushfire construction regulations for a house renovation in the country. Since the 2009 Black Saturday fires all of the regs have become much more strict and complex and I think even our 'expert' building surveyors are struggling to get a full grip of them. I needed to speak to at least 4 different people to get of all the information required in order for us to get an interpretation of a type of acceptable house cladding for a BAL 19 site. (Bushfire Attack Level 19). Different manufacturers of products have their own interpretations too, but in the end it's our Building Surveyor who needs to be able to sign off on it. Think I finally have a workable solution which won't cost the earth.

Anyway, back to this shot. As I drove out of our driveway thi smorning just as the sun was rising, I immediately noticed that the fog was back so headed straight up the hill to Kangaroo Ground to see how the valley was looking. Took about a dozen shots, jumped back in the car and then spotted this view on the way back down. Had to pull over and stop the car as the rising sun through the clouds was hitting this little hill in our Wattle Glen. Didn't last long once again, I managed to click off 5 or 6 shots before it was gone again. This one was my fave.

Enjoy the weekend all.
