Raclette Abend

My oldest friend and her husband came up for dinner tonight. I met Atina during my exchange year in Germany. 1986. We've been through a lot in 27 years. Rather incredible the parallels in our lives, despite an ocean between us for most of the time. Was lovely to catch up. We always seem to pick up and carry on as if we'd met yesterday. A thousand fascinating stories we've shared. Funny how we've both landed in the same region - a ways from where we met. Her husband (whom she met at my wedding party) attended the same grammar school my youngest son was at the last two years. Life comes full circle in this crazy little world :)
