Green trev's stone circle

This afternoon we ventured out to Green Trev's to inspect his stone circle - an offer hard to refuse. Green Trev lives off the grid in a most beautiful spot  - wooded lower down, windswept moorland higher up. He has built his own home and his own hydro electric generator, using energy from the stream that cascades through his property.
Whilst clearing the land nearly 10 years ago he came across this small stone circle. No one seemed to know it was there. It's a beauty. Small, five stones  -and ingeniously the rock face is included as part of the circle (the rock near left). Trev has worked out where the stones were cut or originated for you can see matching grooves on the rockface. He reckons the little wall in front of it dates from the same time - very roughly 4000 years ago. A little further off to the east lies what could be a standing stone and a possible wedge tomb. The view from here is amazing  and Trev has noted that the circle is aligned to the Samhain (November/Winter) and Imbolc (February/Spring) sunsets.
After a refreshing cuppa we then went down onto the little headland below  - an old fisherman's path with large cliffs and strong currents. There was a tiny memorial garden, rather incongrous amidst the bracken, to a fisherman who had been swept away and drowned.  The owner of this land also lives off grid and has built a turf roofed house over-looking the sea. Other little buildings were tucked away in the landscape and Trev told us how the hot tub, a good distance from the sea, had been swept away by a freak storm. A seemingly wonderful romantic place to live, but pretty challenging and lonely.
